I'm looking forward to continuing my theological studies in St. Louis this fall. I have been discerning my vocation to the priesthood for several years and have affiliated to the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph over the last year, a transplant from New Orleans.
I grew up in a military family but was born in Columbia, MO. Needless to say my family moved many times in my youth and then I joined the Marines after high school. I had thought abut being a priest from an early age and I consider it to be a blessing to be back in my state of birth to finish my studies for the priesthood.
Today on this "the Feast of the Assumption," I thank the Holy Mother for her intercession. I have found in my discernment that the rosary is the most powerful prayer. I would also like to thank my mom and dad for all of their prayers and support and say, "I love you."
I look forward to seeing everyone in the parishes and know that you are in my prayers.
