Louis Farley

Name: Mr. Louis Farley

Seminary: Holy Apostles College & Seminary

Home Parish: St. Rose of Lima, Savannah MO

Birthday: 7/22

I first felt His calling to the priesthood when I was in my early teens when I was confirmed into the Catholic Church. I was attending St Rose of Lima parish in Savannah, MO and was attending Bishop LeBlond High School in St. Joseph. After my sophomore year, I had the opportunity to continue my education with the Legionaires of Christ in New Haven, CT. During my formation there, I realized that if I was going to be a priest that I wanted to be a diocesan priest.

Sixteen years have past now and I can no longer avoid or dismiss my calling. Over the past year I have been ashamed of myself for cheating the Lord our God and His Holy Catholic Church from their rightful servant. With lots of prayer and meditations in front of the Holy Eucharist, I have realized that Jesus Christ never gave up on me, He was waiting for me to gain the courage and strength to follow Him. With the help of our Holy Mother Mary, I found the strength and the courage to continue down His path offered to me. Through the grace of God I now have the opportunity to further my education to hopefully become a priest for the Kansas City-St. Joseph diocese.

Your brother in Christ,

Lou Farley
