My name is Duc Nguyen. I was born in Vietnam during the war.
Soon afterward Vietnam became a Communist country and life became unbearable for my family. My odyssey began when I was 14 years old. After two years spent in Malayasian refugee camp, I finally arrived in West Chester, Pennsylvania when I was 16 years old. I earned a degree in Philosophy from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. I am in my third year theology at Holy Apostles Seminary. My home parish is Saint Anthony.
My mother is deceased and my father is presently living in Vietnam. I have seven brothers and sisters living in Vietnam. I felt called to pursue the vocation to the diocesan priesthood, and I moved to Kansas City, Missouri, in the summer of 2006.
