It is my firm belief that the greatest challenge facing the world today is the reality that men and women are being lost to the lusts for power, money, and sex. With Jesus' command of "Do this in remembrance of Me," we can be found. What has been lost is a true sense of what the heart desires. It's not a lust for power, money, and sex. They are simply corruptions of the real desires of the heart that Jesus reclaimed for us at the Last Supper.
At the Last Supper, Jesus washed His disciples' feet, He shared what little He had with His disciples, and He said, "This is My Body which will be given up for you." With each of these words and actions, Jesus reveals the original desires of the heart: to serve, to share, and to make a gift of the body.
Who will answer Jesus' command, "Do this in remembrance of Me"? The world needs men who are willing to serve, who are willing to share, who are willing to make a gift of their body at the altar. This is the great call of our generation: to help men and women find the true desires of their heart.
If you feel called to do something great with your life, consider the call to the priesthood.
Sincerely,
