The Diocese of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph is accepting applications for the position of Associate Superintendent of Schools.  The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and theological/catechetical depth and experience to provide leadership and vision in the areas of Catholic identity, Religious Education curriculum and staff formation. 

• Demonstrate organization, management and interpersonal skills required to develop and sustain a high quality educational system. 

• Possess a strong record of effectiveness as a Catholic school educator and/or administrator.

• Hold an advanced degree in education/catechesis and professional credentials in educational/catechetical administration.

• Have at least 5 years experience as a Catholic school administrator in various capacities.

• Be able to lead collaborative efforts to ensure and enhance the Catholic identity, educational effectiveness, growth and future viability of Catholic schools in the Diocese.

The selected individual must be knowledgeable of and adhere to the teachings of the Catholic faith, and be a fully participating and practicing Catholic in good standing. Other required skills include effective writing, speaking and instructional skills; exceptional leadership, administrative and organizational skills; the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people and technological expertise.  

Our Diocese is comprised of more than 130,000 Catholics with four (4) Catholic secondary schools, 31 Catholic elementary schools and 10 freestanding early childhood centers, with a total enrollment of more than 12,600 students.
