In June 2011, Bishop Robert W. Finn appointed Jenifer Valenti as Ombudsman to independently receive and investigate all reports of sexual misconduct, boundary violations or suspicious behavior by all clergy, employees and volunteers in the Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph. Valenti has produced a report on her first year of service which is available here.
