The Diocesan Choir of Kansas City--St. Joseph consists of singers from across the Diocese that come together to enhance worship and spirituality through music ministry. We provide ministry for annual and bi-annual Episcopal Celebrations and special events, and perform for non-liturgical events such as concerts and festivals. Due to the nature of event scheduling, we usually have two seasons: One shorter season in the Fall from approximately August to September,and a longer Spring season from approximately February to June.
Membership is open to anyone in the Diocese age 16 and up. Previous choir experience is welcome but not required. What is required is a willingness to learn, a love of music, and a desire to devote one’s talents and gifts to the spiritual advancement of the Church as a whole. Diocesan Choir 2012--Spring Season has Sprung!
It’s not too late to join our ranks! Monday night rehearsals are at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, and Tuesday nights are at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in St.Joseph.
