A Gift That Returns Income Charitable Gift Annunities
A charitable gift annuity is a gift made for the benefit of any
ministry of the Diocese that is created by a simple contract
between you and the Diocese. A charitable gift annuity
generates fixed payments for life to you (and/or someone
you designate) while ensuring a significant gift to your chosen
ministry at your death. The amount you receive is determined
by the amount you contribute and your age; the older you are,
the higher your payment rate. After your lifetime, or yours and that
of another beneficiary, we are able to use the remainder of your gift
for the parish, school, or other ministry you designate when you create the annuity.
You may create a charitable gift annuity with a gift of cash or marketable securities. Because we are a charitable organization, gifts made in exchange for gift annuities are eligible for a charitable income tax deduction for a portion of the amount contributed in the year the gift annuity is created.
