1st Sunday of Advent
Christ reminds us not to let our spirits become bloated with indulgences and worldly cares - giving of ourselves will avoid our spirits becoming bloated.

2nd Sunday of Advent
We proclaimed in the psalm that "the Lord has done great things for us!" Spend a few minutes each day thinking of the great things - and the many little blessings - the Lord has done for us.

3rd Sunday of Advent
Keep the Stewardship messages in today's readings in front of us this year: sing joyfully, be full of gratitude, share what we have.

4th Sunday of Advent
Mary did not hesitate to do God's will. As good stewards, may we also eagerly use the blessings we have been given to do the will of God.

Feast of the Holy Family
"Dedicate yourselves to thankfulness" Paul tells the Corinthians and us! How much more joyful this time of year would be if we dedicated ourselves to thankfulness, instead of worrying.

Epiphany
On this feast, when we hear how the magi brought gifts to our Savior, how can we not think about the gifts we give to our Savior? Everything we share with our Church, our community, & with one another is a gift.

Baptism of the Lord,
Our Baptism calls each one of us to share in the work of Jesus. Sharing our gifts is part of our baptismal call.

2nd Sunday of the Year
As good stewards we must find out what gifts we have and ask ourselves how we are using those gifts to bring about the Kingdom.

3rd Sunday of the Year
Again, Paul reminds us that we all have different gifts and responsibilities. But all of those gifts are to be used for the benefit of the entire body. How are we using our gifts? Do we appreciate others gifts?

4th Sunday of the Year
Paul tells us to set our hearts on the greater gifts; not material ones, but faith, hope, and love.

5th Sunday of the Year
Let us be aware of God's kindness and truth, singing praise to the Lord and giving thanks to the Lord.

6th Sunday of the Year
Today's Gospel reminds us that if we follow Jesus' instructions, we will be blessed more greatly than we could believe.

7th Sunday of the Year
Recall the words from today's Gospel: "...Give, and it shall be given to you."

8th Sunday of the Year
Mature disciples make a conscious, firm decision, carried out in action, to be followers of Jesus Christ no matter the cost to themselves.

Part of the message of the US Bishops pastoral letter on stewardship is to remind us that we are dependent on God for all we have - something that is easy for those of us who don't live from day-to-day find it easy to forget.

11th Sunday of the Year
As Christian stewards, we are called to remember that God and our Faith need to be part of our decisions on how we use all of our time, talent, and treasure. We don't make those decisions on our own, instead we consider what our faith and God say about what we do with our money, resources, and time.

1st Sunday of Lent
Moses reminds the Jews (and us) to give our first fruits to the Lord, for the Lord has given generously to us!

2nd Sunday of Lent
Mature disciples make a conscious, firm decision, carried out in action, to be followers of Jesus Christ no matter the cost to themselves.

Bless the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His blessings!

4th Sunday of Lent
Are we aware of how generous God has been to us? Or are we like the sons in todays Gospel, unaware of their father's generosity?

5th Sunday of Lent
Like Paul, have we made our faith in Christ our wealth? Or does our wealth lie elsewhere?

Passion/Palm Sunday
Stewardship is an expression of discipleship, with the power to change how we understand and live our lives.

Easter Sunday
Those who practice stewardship recognize God as the origin of life, the giver of freedom, the source of all we have.

2nd Sunday of Easter
Those who practice stewardship are grateful for what they have received and are eager to cultivate their gifts out of love for God and one another.

3rd Sunday of Easter
In the gospel, once again Jesus gave the apostles much more than they expected. Jesus is just as generous to us!

4th Sunday of Easter
Generous sharing of our resources, including money, is central to the practice of Stewardship.

5th Sunday of Easter
Generous support of the Church is a necessary part of the practice of Stewardship.

6th Sunday of Easter
Stewards know themselves to be both recipients and caretakers of God's many gifts.

Ascension
Stewardship means helping the Church's mission with money, time, and personal resources of all kinds.

Pentecost
Not only have we received the gift of the Holy Spirit, but also Paul reminds us that we have been given the gift of the Spirit for the common good. Do we, as good stewards, use our gifts for the common good?

Trinity Sunday
The Lord's kindness is great - we have been blessed enormously. Let us constantly praise the Lord for those blessings.

Body and Blood of Christ
Sharing of our resources is not an option for Catholics who understand what membership in the Church involves.

Birth of John the Baptist
John was a steward of the vocation God gave him - to be a herald of the Lord. Let us also be good stewards of that particular vocation God has called us to.

Peter & Paul
I will bless the Lord at all times. Bless the Lord for all the gifts we have been given.

Transfiguration
One day, we also will see God as was witnessed in the Transfiguration. May our good stewardship here and now witness to that hope.

12th Sunday of the Year
Today's Gospel presents us with the paradox that to save our lives we must lose them. Stewardship poses a similar paradox: to receive we must give.

13th Sunday of the Year
The Gospel reminds us that we are not to let such things as our desire for material goods get in the way of following Christ. Stewardship as a way of life will help us do this.

14th Sunday of the Year
Just like the disciples of Jesus' time, we too are sent. The harvest is rich! Will we respond as good Stewards and give ourselves to help reap the harvest?

15th Sunday of the Year
The story of Martha and Mary reminds us that good Stewardship of our time includes both adequate time for our daily tasks, but also spending some time with the Lord.

16th Sunday of the Year
Our generosity to the Church should be like our generosity to our children: despite any temporary disagreements, we still feel great love, and are consistently generous.

17th Sunday of the Year
A comprehensive view of Stewardship is a vision of sharing, generous, accountable way of life.

18th Sunday of the Year
The Gospel cautions us to avoid greed in all its forms. Christ constantly calls us to give, and warned that we may be wealthy in terms of possessions, but that does not guarantee life!

19th Sunday of the Year
Jesus says: "Wherever your treasure lies, there your heart will be." Where do we put our treasure? Where does our heart lie?

The Assumption
Like Mary, let us constantly recall that God has done great things for us!

20th Sunday of the Year
As we decide how to use our time, talent, and treasure, St. Paul reminds us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and the ultimate end of the race we are running.

21st Sunday of the Year
We must be stewards in our prayer and worship.

22nd Sunday of the Year
In our giving, we should not seek something back. Instead, our reward will be great in heaven!

23rd Sunday of the Year
Jesus reminds us in the Gospel to make sure our possessions do not own us, but rather to renounce our desire to possess more and more.

24th Sunday of the Year
We must be stewards in our life-style and use of time, and even in such matters as the attention we give to personal health and recreation.

Triumph of the Cross
The Cross - the sign of the ultimate sacrifice, should prompt us to ask ourselves what do we sacrifice on behalf of the Kingdom?

25th Sunday of the Year
No one can serve two masters. We must chose: do we give more priority to God, or to money?

26th Sunday of the Year
The first phrase of the responsorial psalm instructs us how to be good stewards: keep faith forever, secure justice for the oppressed, give food to the hungry.

27th Sunday of the Year
We have each been given the gift of faith! A gift that is strong, loving, and wise. As stewards let us make good use of that gift.

28th Sunday of the Year
Jesus healed ten lepers but only one returned to say thanks. How much has God given us? How often have we given thanks?

We pray that the Holy Spirit will enlighten us all and help us to renew our commitment as the Lord's disciples and as stewards of His bountiful gifts.

Stewardship is a consequence of the faith which Catholics profess and celebrate.

The message of Stewardship isn't to give more money or even more volunteer time in ministry. What stewardship does ask is for us to imitate Zacchaeus and be converted - to fundamentally change our lives as he did in response to Jesus' presence in his life.

All Saints/All Souls
Today is somewhat about "high hopes" - that we will be reunited in heaven with all those souls dear to us. It is appropriate to reflect on how their good stewardship has built up and given us the church we have today.

Dedication of the Lateran Basilica
The physical church is built of stones. The church itself is built of us as "living stones", as good stewards building up the body of Christ.

32nd Sunday of the Year
Life itself is a gift from God, of course. Are we being good stewards of the bodies and minds that God has given us?

Today's readings focus on the end‑of‑time and seek to focus us on whether or not we have lived such a life that we are ready for Christ's Second Corning.
