What is the March for Life?

The March for Life is an annual pro-life rally protesting abortion, held in Washington D.C. on the anniversary of the January 22, 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision in the Roe v. Wade case which legalized abortion for any reason throughout all nine months of pregnancy.  Many marchers also participate to protest the use of euthanasia and assisted suicide.

The 2012 March for Life occurred on January 23, 2012. Organizers estimated 350,000 attendees.  EWTN, the global Catholic television network, broadcasts live from the March for Life every year.  Preceding the March for Life, there are several Masses; two of which are celebrated at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (attendance of 16,000 ) and at the Verizon Center (attendance of 20,000 ).

Advertising

Each pilgrim receives a 100 page booklet full of pro-life educational, spiritual, and social information and activities to prepare them for the March for Life and to assist them with their respective pro-life ministry activities once they return home.

Advertising in this pilgrimage booklet not only promotes local parishes, pro-life organizations and businesses and helps them show their support for our pilgrims, but also creates financial assistance opportunities for youth and families who have demonstrated a need but for whom there are no alternative sources of funding to make the trip to Washington DC.

The 2013 March for Life Program Booklet Advertising Packet includes the following:

  • A fact sheet with information about the contents of the pilgrimage booklet that each pilgrim will receive and specifications and submission requirements for all advertisements
  • A price sheet for four (4) different advertisement sizes
  • A single order form for all of your advertisements
  • A set of optional pre-designed advertisement templates from which you may select in order to make placing an advertisement even easier.
