Priest Wellness Program

Meet Katy Crabtree, R. N.
Priest Wellness Coordinator

With more than 40 years experience in nursing, Katy Crabtree was an ideal choice to create and implement a wellness program for diocesan priests. Katy’s broad experience in general nursing, surgery, intensive care, emergency health, and as a diabetes educator qualifies her as a Renaissance-style health care professional.  She is a parishioner at St. Bridget Parish, in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, and the current president of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Better Information.  Better Health.

As a starting point, Katy is meeting with priests and helping them complete an initial health and wellness assessment.  Armed with this background, she will be able to offer practical advice on health care matters and be of service should they require hospitalization.  Additionally, Katy is visiting retired priests to ensure that their basic physical and medical needs are met.

Coming Attractions for Priest Wellness

To ensure health maintenance, the Priest Wellness Program is planning opportunities for:

  • Influenza vaccinations (flu shots)
  • Pneumonia vaccinations for the over-60 priests
