To Trust Again!
Remarriage preparation is required of all couples who have had a previous marriage and are seeking to receive the Sacrament of Matrimony within the Catholic Church. To this end, the Diocese of Kansas City~St. Joseph offers the To Trust Again! preparation experience. This one day retreat is designed to creatively invite the couples into discussion and discernment regarding their marriage plans and goals.
Through a process of large and small group activities, in addition to individual couple exercises, the remarriage preparation process encourages the participants to learn from the life experiences of others.
Discussion and dialogue during the day covers these topics, among others:

The emotional closure of the previous marriage experience.

Expectations and concerns within the new marriage relationship.

Blending of children and families.
-
Continuing relationships among extended family members, community and Church.
To Trust Again! seminars are generally held four times per year. Retreats begin Saturday morning at 9:00AM and conclude at 6:00PM. In order that retreatants may have the most fruitful experience possible, class sizes are limited to eight couples per session.
