Peters continued
Hello!
My name is Dr. Dan Peters. I am the new Superintendent of Schools for the Kansas City-St. Joseph Diocese. I am eager to take on this role when so many exciting events are unfolding within the diocese and schools. I have previously been in public school administration for several years, both as Superintendent and Assistant Principal. My teaching experience includes several years as Catholic middle school teacher.
The Strategic Plan for Catholic Schools offers an opportunity for the diocesan school system to renew itself, and to strive for higher levels of faith and academics.
The three pillars of our new Strategic Plan are:
I encourage you to embrace the Strategic Plan by learning about it, supporting it, and doing your part to make it a successful effort. All of our schools will host a Strategic Plan presentation for their parent/school community. You can also access information about the plan at MyCatholicSchools.com These important tasks can only be accomplished with us ---parents, teachers, administrators, and the diocese---working together. I look forward to being part of such an inspiring effort. Please feel free to give me a call if you have any questions or concerns.
God Bless.

The Strategic Plan for Catholic Schools offers an opportunity for the diocesan school system to renew itself, and to strive for higher levels of faith and academics.
The three pillars of our new Strategic Plan are:
- Distinctly Catholic: A distinctly Catholic school is centered on Christ and His Church. The knowledge and practice of the Faith are intertwined with outstanding academics, hour by hour, day by day, year after year. Graduates emerge clear in Church teachings and encouraged to actively participate in parish life...for life.
- Academically Excellent: An academically excellent school arms children to succeed and live authentically in today's world. Catholic schools provide comprehensive programs and maintain accreditation. As lifelong learners, nearly half of our teachers hold advanced degrees. Extraordinary teachers provide extraordinary education and prepare students for the next level of success by:
- Challenging each child to succeed.
- Providing each child the knowledge and skills to be productive members of society.
- Building communities of learners dedicated to excellence.
- Fiscally Stable: A fiscally stable school enriches, expands, and sustains the mission of the Catholic schools for future generations. Our goal is to make our schools affordable for all. Through stewardship of every Catholic---those with children, those with grown children, and those who give generously to fund all missions of the Church---we can assure the future of our schools by:
- Being good stewards for the Church and its ministries.
- Modeling the life of Jesus through stewardship.
- Educating parents about their responsibilities.
