Young Adults Courses

All Bishop Helmsing Institute Young Adult Courses will be held
in the Assembly Room (lower level) of the Chancery.
Class will take place on Wednesdays (7:00PM- 9:00PM)
All Bishop Helmsing Intitute courses are $30 (financial assistance is available).

Writings of the Saints |
This seminar course studies a major writing of one important saint. This year we will study St. Teresa of Avila's book, Interior Castle. |

Vatican Council II |
This course will study the background and history of the Second Vatican Council and look at the major council constitutions and decrees. |

Church History I |
This course will survey the history of the early Church up to AD 1000 and how Christ worked through Apostolic tradition to spread the gospel. ![]() |

Church History II |
This course will continue our study of Church history, including an examination of the Renaissance, Protestant Revolution, the Catholic Reformation, and recent spiritual movements. ![]() |

Social Doctrine |
This course will explore the theological foundations of the human person and the resulting fundamental rights, social principles, and values which flow from our created nature as reflected in the Church's social doctrine. ![]() |
