Writings of the Saints

(4 Weeks)

This course studies a major writing of one important saint.  This year we will study St. Teresa of Avila's book, Interior Castle.  St. Teresa is one of only three women Doctors of the Catholic Church, a great mystic, and an undisputed master of the interior life. In this work, St. Teresa describes the journey of the soul along the path of holiness to intimate union with Christ. Growth in prayer and virtue mark the progress of the soul towards perfection.
