Old Testament

(6 Weeks)

This course will study the people, places and events of the Old Testament as a whole rather than as scattered stories. We will use the theme of covenant to highlight the unity of the narrative, which flows from creation through the primeval narratives to the lives of the Patriarchs. After the birth of the nation Israel the theme of kingship is highlighted leading to the understanding of a coming Messiah.　 Jesus is the interpretive key to the whole Old Testament as Prophet, Priest and King and as the Wisdom of God. This course will briefly survey all the books of the Old Testament.
