Catechetical Methods (How to Teach the Faith)

(3 Weeks)

Catechetical Methods will survey the history of catechesis in the Church and look at various methods of catechesis, and how they might be employed to make the Gospel alive to your fellow parishioners, family members, and friends. Issues ranging from bringing the Gospel into our daily lives, the call to holiness, and catechetical formation of adults will be addressed. The student will be familiarized with the General Directory For Catechesis published by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and with several outstanding works in this field.
