Biblical Foundations

This course examines the nature of the Bible:
as God’s revelation to man in human language, its authority and inspiration by
the Holy Spirit, its Inerrancy and the events that led the Church to proclaim
which books belong with the canon of Scripture. As St. Jerome stated, “to
be ignorant of Scripture is to be ignorant of Christ”. This course
introduces methods of interpreting Scripture both in its literal and spiritual
senses following the guidance of the Second Vatican Council Constitution, Dei Verbum and other related Church documents.” | ![]() St. Matthew and the Angel by Rembrandt |
