Apologetics

Apologetics is the study of how to reply to difficult faith questions. In this course we will use the Bible, the writings of the Early Church Fathers, history and logic to explain the faith.  The objective is to show the reasonableness of the faith and its deep roots and integrity.   A second objective is to recognize the universal call to holiness and how students might live lives of faith in the midst of the world.  The course will examine topics such as papal authority, apostolic succession, justification, the communion of Saints, the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Sacrifice of the Mass.
