History of 20 West Ninth Street

Dating to 1888, the former New York Life Building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is contemporary with the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, which was dedicated in 1883. Purchased in October 2010, the Diocese of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph Chancery Offices and Catholic Charities of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph rededicated the building as The Catholic Center and consolidated offices in early 2011.

Chancery Offices of the Diocese of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph -- Please go to the second floor reception area. Chancery offices occupy the second, fourth and fifth floors.

Catholic Charities of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph -- Visitors to the Caritas Center or Catholic Charities, please go to the first floor reception area. Administrative offices are located on the sixth floor.
