View Economic Crisis Through Lens of Faith
In response to the moral impact of the economic crisis, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops published a Website to share Catholic social teaching on economic life. Catholic Teaching on Economic Life features a ten-point framework for economics, an economic justice quiz, prayer resources, videos, podcasts and more. A database of information on issues related to the crisis - health, housing, labor and trade - will help to inform the response of Catholics.

Bishop William Murphy of Rockville Centre, chairman of the U.S. Bishop’s Committee of Domestic Social Justice and Human Development, recently wrote to our nation’s leaders and outlined a central theme.

"This crisis involves far more than just economic or technical matters, but has enormous human impace and clear and ethical dimensions, which should be at the center of debate and decisions on how to move forward," said Bishop Murphy.
